Dear Folks:
Well folks it was just 5 months ago yesterday since I’ve been home.
Boy I had a bad day today. I just couldn’t do anything right. I tried to do some slow rolls and I couldn’t do them to save my neck. I don’t think I could have added 2 & 2 today. I hope I have a better day tomorrow because I’m almost sure of having my 40 hr check. I put in 1 hr and 24 min solo and 25 min dual. That gives me 50 hrs and 59 min now and 4 hrs. in the link trainer. That leaves me 24 hrs and 1 min in the air and 1 hr in the link trainer. In that time I have to take 2 check rides, shoot a
hurdle landing stage, take one dual cross-country flight and one solo cross-country flight. So you see I won’t be learning very much more.
Say Ma you said you went to the doctor. Has your throat been bothering you? Or what?
Well I guess I can’t think of much to say tonight. I guess I’m too sleepy or something.
I hope you folks are all feeling good and healthy.
So long,
Alva
P.S. How much does Jim weigh now? Has Meredith grown any?
