Fri. 6:35 P.M.
Dear Folks:
It won’t be long now and I will be done here at primary. I only have 4 hrs and 8 min to put in yet. Yesterday I passed my 40 hr check. Tomorrow I expect to get my 50 hr army check. I did pretty good yesterday on my 40 hr check. That is the first check I have passed without getting a U on it first. The check rider told my instructor that I gave him a good ride. I went on a short cross-country flight with my instructor today. I go on one solo probably Mon. Some of the boys went today. I think 2 of them got lost. One of them is from my room. At least he isn’t back yet and he was due back a long time ago.
How old were those pullets you sold? Over $1 a bird isn’t bad.
Boy oh boy! It is awful hot here lately. I wish I could have some of those strawberries. Some strawberry shortcake. Well the boys who got lost just came in. They got way off the course. Well folks I can’t think of much to say. I’ll try to write soon.
