Hattie’s son Edwin married Revah Rowe in September of 1915 at the age of 20, the same year Murell and Pearl were born. They had their own child, Robert Edwin, the following September. Clare married Charlotte Smith in 1918, and they had two children. Esther Mae was born in 1919 and Charles Raymond was born in 1922.
The 1910 and 1920 census records record Hugh Galloway as a farmer. The 1930 census lists him as a proprietor-city delivery. Presumably he continued farming in the early infancy of the business and then sometime in the 1920s he was able to do his business full time. The oldest son Edwin appears to have continued farmering. Clare was listed as a truck driver on a cream route in the 1930 census.
Unfortunately I do not have the picture of the reunion he is referring to. But I do have several pictures of the Bessey children, Murell’s aunts and uncle.
