Dear Folks:
I guess I better write you folks and let you know I’m still alive. We were supposed to fly last night but it looked like some bad weather coming up so they called it off. We were going on a cross-country flight. We flew Mon. night. Tues. night we had a couple of lectures. We were supposed to fly last night. Tonight we go up to the weather office pretty soon now and tomorrow night we fly. And Sat. night i will be walking the ramp. So you see my evenings are pretty well taken up this week.
Tomorrow I will have my instrument check. Boy if I do as bad as I did today, I will probably get washed out. The air was pretty rough and I was bouncing all over the place. I was about half dead until last night. Last night I got a good nights sleep finally. I got a letter from Pug today. I hope you explain to her why I haven’t been writing lately. Now that I walk the ramp I don’t even have time to get away from this place.
Is Jim raising a calf for 4H? If so what kind and where did he get it? You know I figured on sending that money order but as yet I haven’t found time to go to the post office. I don’t know when I will either. They hurry us more here than anyplace I’ve been yet.
So Long,
Alva
P.S. I hope you folks are all well and healthy. I’ve felt sort of bum the last few days myself. A.B.
