It’s very hard to pick a favorite photo as I LOVE them all! But this year I will pick this photo of my great grandmother with one of her babies. Hendrina Hubrina “Anna” Kornoelje was born in Grand Rapids, MI just a few years after the Civil War in 1868. Her parents had married in the Netherlands just nine months earlier and then journeyed to west Michigan with both sets of grandparents. Anna married Martin Telder in 1889 and they had seven children over the next 17 years. It is unclear which of her babies is pictured with her in this photograph.
