Murell Bessey prepared a typewritten summary of both his maternal (surnames Whitaker and Clouse) and paternal (surname Bessey) families as well as a history of his mother (Ethel Clouse Bessey) and father (Clarence Bessey). I have evaluated his typewritten summary page by page and have tried to make corrections where necessary or fill in missing or additional information. Some of this information he was going by memory, and of course he did not have the luxury of the Internet to check his facts. All of the corrections and additions are given first followed by a copy of Murell’s typewritten page.
