As stated on the previous page, Mary Francis married James Henry Taylor in 1887 in Indiana. They had seven children. Della (born 1889), Harry (born 1892), Sarah Evalee (born 1896), Mary Ruth (born 1898), Alta (born 1901), Lela (born 1903), and James Harold (born 1913). I am not sure who Icey could be. Unless that is a nickname for one of Della’s other’s sisters.
Rachel married William Henry Clouse on January 1, 1890 (not 1888). Ethel was born ten months later. Her brother William Samuel was born in 1895 and sister Pearl was born in 1900.
Samuel Gains Whitaker married Elizie Viola “Lizzie” Steed in 1888. They had five children. William Elbert (born 1889), Thomas Elsworth (born 1892), Isa Lena (born 1897), Gladys May (born 1903), and Cora Viola (born 1809).
Margaret Ann Whitaker married William Henry Norris in 1886. They had three children. Landay, Garnet (son), and Florance.
In the 1880 census there is a younger son named Henderson who was six years old. There is no other information about him. Again, Murell’s mother’s grandfather’s name was not Samuel Whitaker but Landay Whitaker.
Rachel’s correct birth date is 11 Jun 1868 and her correct death date is 16 Sep 1907, according to her death certificate. William’s correct death date is 28 Feb 1838, and he passed away in Alpine Twp, Kent County, MI.
I am not so sure Murell has his grandparents’ ethnicities correct.
