As far as I can tell, the beginnings of my family research started in May of 2007 when I opened my Ancestry account. Little did I know that just ten months later my dad would pass away suddenly, and I would no longer have any parental ties to my past.
In the past 13 years I have traveled to Salt Lake City to research at the family history library, taken a DNA test, attended a National Genealogical Convention, visited many cemeteries, expanded my tree to included more and more relatives and treasured photographs, and connected with many, many distant cousins, and lost several aunts, uncles, and cousins who have passed away.
Even though I have discovered so much information about my ancestors, I really feel like like my journey has really just begun!
